ZF Services UK will be showcasing its latest products from ZF Marine’s propulsion range for fast craft, pleasure craft and commercial vessels when it exhibits at Europe’s largest virtual, commercial marine exhibition, Seawork Connect 2021, taking place on 5th – 7th October 2021.

A key highlight available to the virtual visitors will be the new ZF AT 80 Thruster series, as well as the condition monitoring system ProVID.

The model range is available as a 360-degree steerable thruster and as a retractable propulsion system, or as a bow thruster. As a result, ZF enables even more ship operators, shipyards and naval architects to use made-to-measure ZF technology for various applications.

ZF recognises that when selecting the marine propulsion system, it must be clear which product guarantees the optimum interaction between performance, cost-effectiveness, environmental compatibility and flexibility.

With a power output of 1,380 to 1,585 kW, the propulsion system covers the range between the tried and tested ZF 6000 and ZF 7000 models.

Visitors will also be able to see the ProVID condition monitoring system, which works in conjunction with the new thruster ex, in action at the virtual event. Activated upon customer’s request, it monitors the condition of the propulsion components.

As possible damage can be detected early on, maintenance and servicing can be planned in advance. This optimises the availability and operating times of the ship, reduces operating costs and improves the performance of the components in terms of service life and efficiency.

Thanks to oil monitoring, lubricant contamination becomes visible quickly.

As well as gleaning information on ZF’s extensive propulsion range, visitors will be able to talk to ZF Marine’s team of technical experts, who can provide a range of product information on conventional products and Hybrid ready technology

Paul Dean, Marine Business Manager at ZF Services UK said: “ZF is investing significantly in research and product development to ensure we can continue to provide market leading, yet environmentally sound solutions, and we’re very much looking forward to discussing our vast product range and the latest propulsion technology to customers.”

ZF is a worldwide leader in marine propulsion systems, supplying systems and components for all types of ships such as motor boats, sail boats, superyachts as well as commercial and government vessels. Its product portfolio is as comprehensive as the applications it provides.
