Worldline UK will be attending Intelligent Transport’s Transport Innovation Summit from the 6th – 8th April 2022. With a slot secured for the morning of the 6th April, Worldline will be showcasing its recently commissioned research into perceptions of public transport and customer behaviour. The session will be followed by a short Q&A with Worldline UK Transport Market Director, Martin Howell.

The research was commissioned by Worldline UK and conducted by Dr Stian Reimers, a behavioural psychologist with experience in customer behaviours and economics. It explores some of the reasons behind why people might be reluctant or receptive to travelling via public transport. Focusing on the customer, as opposed to the technology or infrastructure, the research takes a human-centred perspective on a topic that can easily become detached from its end users.

Worldline UK was keen to explore more customer-driven avenues to improve its service and offering. To do so effectively, identifying key factors into why people may or may not choose public transport was essential. The report, due to be released in full following its debut at the Transport Innovation Summit, forms part of a larger piece of work from Worldline UK. Future research is in the works to find out more about attitudes towards public transport and how companies and operators can work to resolve underlying issues from a customer perspective.
