Transport UK London Bus (formerly Abellio) will mobilise two new Transport for London contracts for routes 211 and 465 on Saturday, June 29. With the addition of these Central and South West London routes, Transport UK London Bus continues to expand its business rapidly.

The 211 will operate from Transport UK London Bus’s Battersea depot, running between Hammersmith Station and Battersea Power Station. This route will operate with New Routemaster double-deck hybrid vehicles.

The 465 will operate between Kingston and Dorking and will be based at Transport UK London Bus’s Twickenham depot. It will run with ADL Enviro 200 single-deck buses.

Getting wheels on the road for routes 211 and 465 forms part of a period of strategic and operational growth following the mobilisation of two new school routes, 639 and 670, which went into operation on June 8th. Both operate from Transport UK London Bus’s Battersea depot using ADL Enviro 400 buses.

Alastair Willis, Commercial Director, Transport UK London Bus, said:

“We are excited to continue to grow our business at pace and delighted to mobilise these routes on behalf of Transport for London. We now operate over 10% of London’s bus network, providing millions of journeys for Londoners.”
