TIP Group, the leading trailer and truck hire services provider, is returning to the 2024 Road Transport Expo to showcase its portfolio of trailer, truck and tanker rental, leasing and maintenance & repair services, as well as its trailer refurbishment capabilities.

The TIP team will also be available to discuss how its technology platforms can help transport operators stay safe, legal and compliant. Following changes to the DVSA’s ‘Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness’ publication of late, electronic braking performance monitoring systems (aka EBPMS) are expected to be a particular topic of interest at the show. BrakePlus is TIP’s EBPMS offering and is part of the TIP Insight range of telematics that allows operators to better manage their fleet through a range of monitoring and reporting functionalities which include ‘track and trace’ capability, tyre pressure, door and refrigeration temperature monitoring.

The TIP stand will feature a fully refurbished SDC tri-axle curtainsider trailer, representing TIP’s growing trailer refurbishment function. TIP reports a significant growth in such services recently as operators increasingly consider alternatives that mitigate the cost of purchasing brand new equipment and, at the same time, enhance their sustainability initiatives. Refurbishment services available from TIP range from replacement and / or upgrade of chassis parts and curtain repair / replacement to brand / livery upgrade programmes.

Alongside the trailer will be a brand-new DAF tractor unit and electric curtainside rigid truck, both serving to demonstrate what TIP can offer via its range of flexible hire services to suit the needs of transport operators and logistics services providers.

Mike Furnival, Managing Director at TIP commented: “Following the success of last year’s show, we had no hesitation in signing up again for this year and we are very much looking forward to showcasing our expertise once again in trailer and truck hire and maintenance services. With a vast range of trailers and trucks available for hire across the UK and Ireland, our on-stand team will be available throughout the show for a chat regarding visitors’ needs when it comes to their trailer and truck fleet plans. In addition though, we’ll also put the spotlight on our growing trailer refurbishment capability to highlight just how transport operators can benefit from giving trailers a ‘second life’, and potentially supporting their sustainability goals in doing so.”

TIP Group can be found at stand Y10, outdoors and complete with BBQ, alongside TIP Tanker Services.

Road Transport Expo is to be held at the NAEC, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on the 4th, 5th and 6th June.
