TfSE signs two-year consultancy contract with Steer and partners
Transport for the South East (TfSE), the Sub-national Transport Body for the south east of England, has signed a contract with global consultancy Steer to assist with their ambitious and evolving programme of work over the next two years. Support will also be provided by Steer’s partners, Arup, Atkins and City Science.
The agreement will see Steer work collaboratively with TfSE and its partners to provide a call off consultancy provision to cover a wide range of support to ensure delivery of their programme of work.
Work being taken forward under this contract includes refreshing TfSE’s transport strategy, the creation of the regional centre of excellence and scheme development support. The work also includes assisting in taking forward TfSE’s freight and logistics strategy.
Rupert Clubb, Lead Officer, Transport for the South East, said: “The track record of Steer and their partners in first class support, genuine partnership working and innovation, will further enhance our wide-ranging areas of work.
“We look forward to working with them as we continue to act as one voice to government in order to help deliver a transport network for the region that is fit for the future.”
Steve Bishop, Framework Director, Steer, said: “This framework is a milestone for TfSE to help deliver its Strategic Investment Plan at pace along with other key work areas – a Regional Centre of Excellence to build capacity and capability locally, and to accelerate the roll out of zero emission vehicle infrastructure.
“Over the next two years, supported by Arup, Atkins and City Science, we look forward to working in partnership with TfSE to help achieve the vision for the region and wider environmental, social and economic goals. We are delighted to continue in our role supporting Transport for the South East and its partners delivering real change to transport in the region.”
