SUCCESS FOR PREMIER LOGISTICS IN THEIR HOMETOWN

Judges across three separate awarding categories have sent premier logistics through to the finals of the Leicestershire Niche Business Awards 2023.

The Best Large Business and Best Family Business categories have recognised the company, while Premier Logistics employee Macauley Christopher has made it through to the next round of the Rising Star category.

Judges have so far commended Premier Logistics for adding value to the local economy, efficient family-run operations, and dedication to employee development.

Macauley has worked his way up from washing trucks at the age of 16 for Premier Logistics, which is owned and run by his dad Lee Christopher. He went on to work in the warehouse and in different areas of the business before becoming Client Relationship Manager last year.

Winners of the Niche Business Awards 2023 will be held at Athena on Friday, September 8. Tickets can be purchased at nichemagazine.co.uk/awards.

Lee Christopher, Managing Director of Premier Logistics, said:

“Being recognised as one of the best large, family-run businesses is a testament to all that we’ve tried to do with our company. We want all our employees to feel at home and happy here, which is what has helped us reach the semi-finals of Best Large and Best Family Business. And of course, I’m proud of my son Macauley for being named as a Rising Star. I was lucky enough that he showed a huge interest in my work and the industry from a young age and I’ve watched him eagerly develop his skillset through his various positions in the business.”

Jenny Cross, CEO of Cross Productions, which runs and founded the Niche Business Awards, said:

“We’re so very proud to have Premier Logistics as finalists in not one but three categories. Lee, Mac and the team have proven themselves to be exceptional in their applications, which have demonstrated the positive impact their business has on the Leicestershire community and economy. The Niche Business Awards were set up to recognise the best in practice across the county. It’s genuinely mind-blowing to see not just the number of nominations received but the quality increase year on year. Leicestershire has a thriving business community, one that acts as a benchmark for other cities to aspire to. We’re very keen to welcome guests to the 2023 ceremony and finally get to reveal the surprises we’ve planned throughout the night. It’s a fantastic theme to celebrate Leicester’s culture and bring the community together.”
